Back with another solid color drop, the Baron returns in Midnight rugged twill. I’ve been sitting on this bag for over a year now waiting for the right opportunity and that chance is finally here. I love black bags as much as anybody and the highland has a regular spot in my rotation but these understated colors are a vibe. Standing out in a sea on black and grey, the midnight is that pop of color you need.
Rugged twill, a staple of ROV. I know things started with canvas and I appreciate all you early adopters but twill is the future (and the past). The weave, the color, the durability, are all improved over canvas. The fabric is pre treated with water repellant and can be waxed at the users discretion for additional water resistance. Please be aware that waxing may lighten the color somewhat depending on the type and quantity used. Stay tuned for a future update about waxing your ROV twill bags.
The gold liner gives the perfect amount of contrast to the midnight twill on the outside. Balancing beautifully and giving a bright backdrop to find your daily carry inside. The gold has that classic feel and will add some brightness even in a dark environment.
The accents may seem like no big deal but they bring the whole product together. By this point it’s no secret that I love black accents. It balances items across my lineup and tones things down to add the daily use factor everybody needs. This leaves lots of room to personalize with Hilts, patches, etc without worrying about them clashing too harshly. Ever present is the ballistic bottom panel on all ROV bags, again tying the design together and adding peace of mind to your carry.
The Midnight Baron represents that desire to stand out from the crowd just enough. It’s for the person that’s ok getting a second glance when everyone realizes they’re carrying something a little different from the rest of us.
